Ticonderoga Farm

Today we went to the pumpkin patch at Ticonderoga Farm. Mommy was really hoping we'd get to go thru a REAL pumpkin patch .... which they said they had..... but they didn't. Very VERY disappointing. Apparently the weather this year didn't produce great pumpkins...and so they had boxes of pumpkins shipped in and placed around the grounds. Bleh.

There wasn't much to do there for me. There was a huge slide area that Carter and Daddy got to go on, but I didn't because i'm too small.
I stood at the bottom sulking.
We did alot of walking around the grounds and the woods. We walked around the Christmas tree patch for the longest time because the lady who worked there told us the "real" pumpkin patch was just beyond the trees... liar.

Later, while Daddy and Carter roasted marshmellows at the fire pit, Mommy took me out for a photo shoot. I stood in a tee pee, I played with leaves, I tried to eat some rocks and dirt and twigs, I got to drink some hot apple cider for the very first time, saw an alligator swamp, and I even poked at a skeleton hanging in a tree!

On the ride home, I completely passed out from exhaustion.
Phew! All in all, not a bad day.

At least you were able to commune with nature at your pumpkin patch, ours was a commercialized zoo next to a busy road - tons of people, giant inflatible pumpkin, pumpkin pyramid, trains, tractors, hayride, carousel, live band, etc. Ours wasn't real, either. They had picked pumpkins scattered around the mum field, so it was colorful but not a real pumpkin patch. Looks like Cooper is the only one to get the real deal. Ours did have a real corn field, though. We got to eat some hot buttered corn, and I got to ride the train.

Whoa... your pumpkin patch also has Christmas trees and skeletons? Mine didn't have that. Lots of corn... I like how they placed the pumpkins randomly in the grassy field. I love the pictures in your album :) Mommy and Daddy let me look through them. Mommy wants me to tell you that you have absolutely beautiful hair. Sheesh... what a girly word... she means HANDSOME hair. Anyways... she likes your hair :)

Wow! You went to a cool pumpkin patch! We went to one by our house and they didn't have very many good pumpkins - and no fun stuff except for the wheelbarrow!I want to go where you went next time!
