Sunday Party Day

Today we got to go to cousin Nicks house for a party! I made sure we were all late by waking up late.. thus napping late..then giving Mommy a hard time with my napping, then giving her more of a hard time by not cooperating while eating my lunch and getting dressed. We all finally made it out the door an hour after the party started. Good thing we weren't the last people to arrive though. Mommy was stressing about that. When we got there, Nick's grandma had lots of good food out... but as usual, I wasn't going to let Mommy have any. Not just yet. She suffered with a drooling mouth, watching everyone eat while carrying me. Somehow she escaped me at some point and I later found her in the dining room scarfing down all the food. What a hog. Nick has lots of cool toys and lots of cool trains. I hope to acquire just as many toys one day.... I'm well on my way. Nick's Mommy's best friend Miss Katie was there and her daughter Tabitha and her friend Jessica are in love with Carter. They chased him all over the place and tried to take pictures of him all night long. I got a cool Dora pop up tent from Nick, a very cool froggy that ribbits, and lots and lots of books!! Oh and an Elmo guitar!!! I can't wait to play in my new Dora tent. Mommy said she'll set it up for me tomorrow.

Na-Na and other Chatter

Hey Zach, guess what? I have joined in on the banana talk! Today I decided to say it for myself.... I am not quite as good as you yet in that I don't get the BO part out.. but I do say na-na. Heh heh...pretty cool huh?

I also said Carter's name several times this morning when I went to wake him up. I also am saying No No Nooo, in addition to Oww when I get an ouchie..even if its not so bad - I like to milk it. I say Thank You when I am given something... though I also say it when I give something to someone...comes out sounding like Ann Oooh. I also now say Nigh Nigh when its night night time and lastly, I have taken on a few Spanish words courtesy of my girlfriend Dora. I say Azul, which means blue.. but its sounding more like A-ooo. And Arriba!

Thats all for now. Nothing too spectacular.. but I'm thinking a few of these words will get me what I want.

It's Christmas!

MERRY CHRISTMAS! Today I woke up nice and early. I was the first person up! Woke Mommy and we watched Dora for awhile then we went and woke Daddy up too. Daddy cooked up some breakfast for us all and I made it my job to go wake Carter. Plus that meant I could climb the stairs. I said his name many many times before he finally woke up. After we ate some breakfast, we opened up our stockings. I got some cool cars! Carter got a heap of toys, Mommy got a book of ghost stories and a KISS cd, and Daddy got a bunch of candy and a car too! After stockings, I had to take a nap. Later in the afternoon, Ba Ngoai came over and we opened our presents. I got a dinasour that roars, two Dora DVDs, money from Ba Ngoai for my college fund, a book from Carter, a stuffed animal, a shirt, and a couple other toys. OH and of course the things I opened long before Christmas - my kitchen, my activity block and my Elmo. Mommy got a new toaster over from Ba Ngoai but I went and sat on the box and dented the top of it. So tomorrow we are going to see if we can exchange it for another one. Daddy gave Mommy a new alarm clock/cd player and Mommy gave Daddy every episode of The Justice League on DVD. Ba Ngoai gave Daddy a cool new coffee maker. He's really been wanting one!! Carter got so many cool toys. I tried to steal them from him but he got grumpy at me. I can't wait til I'm older and can play with super cool toys like his! Dinner was great. Daddy burnt the biscuits though - he wasn't very happy about that. After dinner, everyone watched The 36 Chambers of Shaolin while Carter and I horsed around. Christmas is pretty cool! I think my most favorite present was the Dora DVDs.. I am going to watch them every single day!

Bubbles!

I LOVE bubbles!! I have never seen anything cooler in my life. Mommy bought me some this weekend and yesterday I got to play with them for the very first time. I couldn't stop laughing! They are so amazing! I kept trying to catch them but they kept popping. Mommy didn't get pictures of my first time because she had bubble soap all over her hands..and if she got it on Daddy's camera..she'd have hell to pay. Later, when he got home she asked him to take pictures.. I didn't laugh as much as I did the first time but its because I had to share my precious bubbles with Carter AND the kitties.. pffft. But they were still fun nonetheless!

Here I am by the tree..waiting for Christmas to hurry and get here... snacking on some puffs, wearing my skeleton leg things that Daddy hates, and watching Dora (of course). As you can see, I require not one, but two sippy cups. One has water, the other juice. I like some variety. In the background...the step stool that once belonged in the kitchen.. but I have since stolen and made mine. Next to me is my cool new table that I got from Nick. I love this table! I usually eat my snacks out of the bowl in the center but today Mommy stuck my puffs in a batman bowl for me.

Climbing is Fun!

I have finally joined the ranks of Cooper and Zach. I now can climb...and won't stop! This past weekend I decided I'd give climbing a step stool a try. I did it! Then I climbed up on my bouncy chair and bounced on it like mad.. then tried to stand up on it and surf it! I don't know why I didn't try any of this sooner. I guess I was too busy getting into things. I should have taken notice when I heard the others were climbing... oooh the mischief I can get into now!!

Christmas #1

Today we celebrated Christmas #1 at Sassy's house. We are celebrating early with her because she will be in Germany during Christmas visiting Mose. Christmas #2 will be on the real day and celebrated at home with Ba Ngoai (Mommy's Mommy). Carter was there and so was Avery and Alex. There were lots and lots of presents! I was kinda having a bad day though because I didn't take a nap in the morning on account that I went to bed very very late the night before and woke up late. So, I was a grumpy boy most of Christmas #1 with moments of happiness.

I got a very cool wooden bike from Mose and Sassy from Germany! I'm too big to ride it just yet but as soon as my feet touch the ground i'll be scooting all around on it. I also got some cool new fish maracas from Mommy and Daddy, a telephone, some books, a doggy that walks a plank, and Mommy let me have some of my other big gifts early - my kitchen and a cool activity block. There were other things too but my memory is failing me at the moment. I had lots of fun playing with all the toys there - Carter got some cool ones!

Death of Dora & Other Unimpressive Things

So. My morning starts off like this. I wake up... watch some Dora. Dora ends and normally I watch Super Why. But today, the PBS station decides it wants to go blank on me. So no Super Why. I'm unimpressed. My diaper is full, and Mommy wants to change it. Unimpressed. Mommy tries to put my sweater on, my jacket, a hat, some mittens. I"m unimpressed. I throw a tantrum, lay on the floor crying and screaming. Mommy doesn't pick me up!!! Can you imagine??? I am UNIMPRESSED!! We go downstairs to the car and Mommy tries to put me in the carseat. Yes... unimpressed. She pulls out the DVD player and turns Dora on. Ok..i'm a little impressed. We get down the road a bit...DORA DIES!!! The battery on the DVD player is out. Whoa...WHOA. This is bad news. I'm very much unimpressed. And I let Mommy know. I let her know the ENTIRE ride to grandma's. We get there and Mommy takes my stupid hat off, my stupid mittens, my stupid coat, and makes my stupid breakfast. I'm really not impressed yet. I decide I will let her take her coat off since she's obviously sweating to death and plop in her lap and let her feed me. Just as I decide to calm down for a moment, Grandma comes into the kitchen. I have to let her know i'm unimpressed. I scream at her and give Mommy more of a hard time. I won't stand up, I won't sit down. I won't do anything and she better make it better because i'm unimpressed. Of course now, she tells me she has to leave for work. Who says this is ok??? Lucky for her, I see the stairs and I get side tracked. I later realize she has made an escape and i'm sure i'm unimpressed. Thank goodness I have grandma there to give me hugs and kisses. Mommy better bring Dora back to life before we drive back home tonight. Or else.

Grouchy Grrrrrr

I am a grouch. They might as well call me Oscar. I am not impressed with very much these days and I will let you know in a heartbeat. My tooth hurts me, I'm not sleeping well, Dora isn't on 24 hours a day, Mommy won't carry me 24 hours a day, I have to eat nasty Gerber glop, I have to wear a coat to go outside, I have to get out of the bath just as I'm enjoying soaking the entire bathroom with my spashes, I have to go to bed at 8pm, I have to wake up early, I am not allowed to climb up or down the stairs as much as I would like.... I could go on and on.. I do not get my way all the time and I am not pleased. But I'm so darn cute, I get my way most of the time.

Haircut # 2

Mommy has gone and done it again. She got scissor happy when Daddy wasn't around. She was giving me a bath while pouring water on my hair was just amazed at how long it had gotten... then she decided she could cut it, figuring how hard could it be to snip the back? Very hard. I made sure of it. I splashed and wiggled and Mommy chopped this way and that. Daddy walked in. BUSTED! Mommy tried to hide it by twirling the back of my hair up. But Daddy soon saw what she had done. He shook his head and scolded her. Mommy just laughed. She is a nut.

Luckily for her, it didn't turn out too bad once my hair dried up. And thankfully she didn't touch the front this time.

It was rainy and cold today. I really wasn't feeling my usual weekend photoshoot. Mommy took me to the grocery store and then we stopped by grandma's house for a quick visit. Here is a picture of me on the ride to the store. I'm wasn't feeling too smiley.

I Love Elmo!

I love Elmo and he loves me. Mommy told me, and Elmo did too.




Today Mommy gave me a brand new Elmo!!! Recently I started loving my other Elmo alot. He sings to me and talks to me and his eyes light up with little hearts in them too. So today, Mommy decided to give me one of my Christmas presents early. An even bigger Elmo!!!!! I used to not really be that into him.. but just recently I've decided he's a pretty cool monster.


Tonight, I am sleeping with my new big Elmo. Zebra got the boot.
